About Us

The Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) at Mount Sinai is a student-led organization dedicated to supporting and empowering students interested in surgery through mentorship, professional development, education, and community building. The group aims to promote gender equity in surgery by connecting students with faculty, residents, and peers through panels, workshops, networking events, and discussions about surgical careers and advocacy. AWS welcomes students of all backgrounds and interests who are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive surgical community.
