Mount Sinai NICU Cuddle Club

About Us

The NICU Cuddle Club at Mount Sinai is a student volunteer organization that supports developmental care in the NICU by facilitating supervised cuddling and skin-to-skin contact opportunities with consented infants. Members work alongside clinical staff to provide comfort and support to hospitalized newborns through different modes of engagement based on the patient’s developmental status, such as reading, playing with toys, or napping. The club also supplements the volunteering opportunities with periodic lunch and learns, which focus on education in neonatal medicine for volunteers through faculty-led discussions that explore clinical cases, research, and current topics in NICU care.
