Dance at Mount Sinai

About Us

We are a student group that holds weekly FREE dance workshops led by students for students!

Our workshops are based out of Bridge for Dance (2726 Broadway, 3rd Floor, New York, NY, 10025) on the UWS Monday nights from 8:30-10pm. This is a huge, beautiful studio that is easily accessible by bus. Each week is led by a different student and we really run the gamut of styles. Last year our workshops included: Ballet, Jazz, Bollywood, Contemporary, Bhangra, Floorwork, Hip Hop, K-pop, and tap (just to name a few – because there were even more!!!). We are always excited to welcome new teachers and to expand our dance vocabulary.

How can you get involved?

  • Show up to a workshop!
    • 2 weeks in advance we will send out the initial interest form and information. Show up to as many or as few workshops as you’d like (but we definitely recommend as many…)! All workshops can also be found on the Student Calendar.
  • Lead a workshop!
    • We are looking forward to welcoming you to lead a workshop this semester. We do not expect you to have any experience teaching and will help you get set up in the studio if this is your first time! It is a really rewarding and fun experience to lead a workshop – if you’re thinking about it, we highly recommend you JUST DO IT!
