About Us

The Geriatrics Student Interest Group promotes awareness, education, and advocacy around the healthcare needs of geriatric patients and elderly adults. We offer students opportunities to engage with geriatric medicine through interdisciplinary panels, guest lectures, and community outreach. Our goal is to inspire interest in geriatric care and to equip all future healthcare providers with a better understanding of aging-related issues such as cognitive decline, polypharmacy, palliative care, and social determinants of health. We welcome students from all backgrounds who seek to improve the quality of care for older adults in every field of medicine.
