Internal Medicine Interest Group

About Us

The Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG) connects medical students interested in Internal Medicine with the resources and support they need to explore the field. Our mission is to expose students to the wide range of subspecialties within Internal Medicine and to provide meaningful opportunities for clinical and professional development. We organize events such as subspecialty panels featuring physicians from diverse IM fields, a mentorship program that pairs students with current residents, and bedside rounds where students shadow physicians and practice clinical skills like history-taking and physical exams. We also host a skills night led by residents and faculty to help students build essential clinical competencies, and a post-match panel where fourth-year students share their experiences with the residency application process and their journeys through medical school.
