About Us

The Sikh Medical Student Association (SiMSA) is the campus chapter of the national Sikh Medical Initiative (SMI), a network dedicated to empowering Sikh-identifying medical students and professionals. SiMSA aims to build a supportive community through mentorship, cultural connection, academic collaboration, and service. We work to increase Sikh representation in medicine, advocate for culturally competent care, and address health disparities in underserved Punjabi and immigrant communities. Activities include networking events, speaker panels, advocacy initiatives, and outreach programs in collaboration with local and national organizations.
