Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is committed to supporting current and future underrepresented minority medical students, addressing the needs of underserved communities, and increasing the number of clinically excellent, culturally competent, and socially conscious physicians. Established in 1964, SNMA is the oldest and largest student-run organization that focuses on the needs and concerns of medical students of color. Here at Sinai, the SNMA chapter is a sub-group of Students for Equal Opportunity in Medicine (SEOM), an umbrella group for SNMA as well as for Latino Medical Students Association (LMSA).
