About Us

Women in Anesthesiology (WIA) is a student-led group dedicated to supporting women-identifying medical students interested in anesthesiology. We aim to build a strong, inclusive community through mentorship, hands-on workshops, speaker panels, and networking events. WIA highlights diverse career paths in anesthesiology and addresses challenges such as gender equity, work-life balance, and representation in the field. We collaborate with residents and faculty to empower our members and promote professional growth. Whether exploring the specialty or already committed, WIA provides a space to learn, connect, and lead as future women in anesthesiology.
