MedDOCs Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is MedDOCs?
MedDOCs is a 7-8 week program held twice each year in the fall and spring semesters. The program offers two 2 separate curricula: the fall session focuses on the cardiovascular system and the spring sessions focus on the pulmonary system and neurology.
Q: What day is MedDOCs held on?
The MedDOCs after school sessions are held Thursdays at 4-5:30pm. The MedDOCs+ summer program is held more frequently during weekdays over the summer.
Q: Can you do each semester more than once?
No, you may participate in one fall semester (heart) and both spring semesters (lungs & neurology). You may only participate in each session/semester once.
Q: Is it possible to get a letter of recommendation from my MedDOCs mentor(s)?
Yes! If you attend 6 of the 8 sessions and participate frequently in class, you mentor may agree to write you a letter of recommendation.
