The council\u2019s aim is to improve all aspects of student life. Student Council meets once a month to discuss ideas and promote new projects. Members also meet with the school administration monthly for updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Student Council class representatives form various committees, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Student Council Steering Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subcommittees of the Student Council<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Academic Technology Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Athletics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community Service Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green\/Sustainability Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health and Well-Being Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Housing\/Security Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student Life committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Executive Admissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Executive Curriculum Committee\/AAMC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mistreatment Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Anti-Racism Committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Subcommittee members are elected from each class and program to work on more specific issues. There are many ways to be involved in Student Council, and monthly meetings are open to all students. Current students looking for more information should email studentc@mssm.edu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students serving on these committees are expected to keep their classmates informed on the committee\u2019s deliberations, as well as to present issues of concern to the appropriate committee. Toward this end, student representatives are encouraged to hold periodic meetings with other representatives as well as with their class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>How do I raise an issue? <\/strong>Email your class or program rep or email Student Council (studentc@icahn.mssm.edu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Can I make anonymous suggestions?<\/strong> Yes, we have <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSe8g-Nh6bCnZsL2tCYM9ERfpbQHYuDAHoR6wsco2mNFmYKVOg\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">a form for that<\/a>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Meeting Schedule<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We have 8 meetings throughout the year.\u00a0 They are open to the entire student body \u2013 all are welcome!\u00a0 All meetings are the second Wednesday of the month (excluding September because of elections) from 7:00-8:00 PM. Dinner will be provided and the meetings will be hybrid for those not in the area.
