The Story Project is a monologue performance of anonymous stories submitted by students of the Mount Sinai graduate schools. Each year, we invite students to send in their personal experiences of loss, love, anger, passion, doubt, and hope, whether in medicine or outside of the hospital. Fellow students take these stories and develop them into monologues to perform on stage. The authors’ identities are unknown, but their intimate and vulnerable perspectives reach out to all of us and remind us both of what we share and how we are different.
We recruit monologues through January each year and hold auditions soon after. Our ticket sales raise money for a charity of the cast’s choosing based on themes from the show. Look out for our next performance each spring!
We invite all students across the graduate programs to submit their stories at the link below.
