The Story Project is a collection of anonymous stories submitted by students of the Mount Sinai graduate schools. Each year, we invite students to send in their personal experiences of loss, love, anger, passion, doubt, and hope, whether in medicine or outside of the hospital. These stories serve as monologues which fellow students perform on stage. The authors’ identities are unknown, but their intimate and vulnerable perspectives reach out to all of us and remind us both of what we share and how we are different.
Our first performance featured 16 monologues and was performed April 13 and 14, 2018. Our ticket sales raised over $1,400 for charity distribution as chosen by our cast to reflect the themes of our pieces.
We invite all students across the graduate programs to submit their stories at the link below.
