About Us
The Mount Sinai Fishing Club is a recreational group for anyone interested in fishing or eager to learn, offering group experiences throughout the waters of New York City. It’s a peaceful way to step back from the intensity of med or grad school and enjoy the calm of nature. Whether you’ve fished before or have never held a rod, you’re welcome to join. We plan to host Sinai-supported fishing events using shared gear so that everyone can participate, regardless of experience or equipment.||Our events will range from beginner-friendly days at the Harlem Meer where we’ll teach people to cast and fish for panfish like bluegill or crappie, to more ambitious outings along the Hudson or East River for larger fish. Fishing offers a chance to reset, get outside, and connect with others in a low-pressure, restorative setting. We’re excited to build a community around that and make it easy for Sinai students to get involved.|
