About Us
The Harm Reduction and Addiction Medicine Interest Group (HRAM) is passionate about embracing the principles of harm reduction which prioritize patient well-being and safety above all else! By embracing harm reduction principles, students can foster trust, open communication, and contribute to more effective healthcare outcomes for people who use drugs, as well as all of our future patients and communities alike. HRAM is actively involved in efforts like helping the REACH Clinic at Sinai pack Narcan and testing strip kits for their patients, as well as leading Narcan trainings for detox patients and students. We also plan lunch talks on evolving issues within addiction medicine. HRAM also is hosting a new Nexus Course – SUDden Shifts: New Perspectives on Addiction Medicine & Harm Reduction.
