About Us
Mount Sinai WildMED is a student organization to help medical students enjoy the outdoors and learn wilderness medicine skills. We host 2 camping trips a year (one fall, one spring) that are open to all medical students to attend. On the camping trips, the student organization provides all food, gear, and necessary camping supplies, so that any student can attend, regardless of prior camping experience. We also teach wilderness medicine skills on the camping trips and run practice simulations of responding to various medical scenarios in the outdoors.
