• November 8th, 2022: Chat with the Chairman
  • Join us for an informative presentation by Dr. Cordon-Cardo, the Chairman of Pathology at Mount Sinai, regarding the use of AI in pathology.

• Tie Dye in Central Park!!! Come by for a study break and stick around to dye an ISMMS Pathology Interest T-Shirt the colors of your favorite pathology stain.

• May 26th, 2022: Drop in shadowing of frozen sections!
  • Come by the 15th floor of Annenberg anytime between 9:30-12:30 for drop in shadowing looking at the frozen sections that come in that day!!
  • Frozens are some of the most high yield shadowing to see how pathology impacts patient care in real time. It has been dubbed the “ED of pathology.” Sections of interest are taken from active surgeries and need to be frozen, cut, and turned into slides so that the specimen can be visualized and the remaining procedures can be tailored to the results.

• April 12th, 2022: Concussion Screening followed by a Discussion with Dr. Omalu
  • Concussion (2015) starring Will Smith, is a true story about the work of Dr. Omalu in bringing CTE to the public eye and to the attention of the NFL. The screening will begin at 4:30pm in Annenberg 12-01
