About Us

The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Interest Group provides fellow students with exposure to the exciting field of physiatry through hands-on learning events, clinical shadowing and volunteering, and mentorship opportunities. By connecting students with Mount Sinai’s leading rehabilitation programs and physician mentors, we offer insights into physiatry’s function-oriented approach to care that helps patients reclaim their lives after injury and illness, ranging from sports injuries to stroke recovery. Our goal is to support students interested in PM&R careers and promote understanding of rehabilitation medicine’s vital role in patient care.
