Mount Sinai’s Harm Reduction and Addiction Medicine Interest Group advocates against existing disparities in the provision of health care and basic human services for drug users and their communities. Our work includes awareness-raising, policy & advocacy, and community-based capacity building services -such as opioid overdose prevention trainings and initiatives. In addition, we run a Nexus course in the fall semester that covers some of the basics of harm reduction theory and practice.
