Harm Reduction Coalition engages in work that advocates against existing disparities in the provision of health care and basic human services for drug users and their communities. We advocate for the acceptance and expansion of harm reduction approaches necessary for sound public health practices. Our work comprises of awareness-raising, policy & advocacy, and community-based capacity building services, including opioid overdose prevention trainings and initiatives. In addition we run a nexus course in the fall semester that covers some of the basics of harm reduction theory and practice.
Do you want to get involved? Be a part of the nexus course? Check out our events, find out how to contact us, and learn about our current leadership here!
