Mount Sinai’s Harm Reduction and Addiction Medicine Interest Group¬†advocates against existing disparities in the provision of health care and basic human¬†services for drug users and their communities. Our work includes awareness-raising, policy & advocacy, and community-based capacity building services -such as opioid overdose prevention trainings and initiatives. In addition, we run a Nexus course in the fall semester that covers some of the basics of harm reduction theory and practice.
