The Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) is a student organization dedicated to increasing awareness about and exposure to the field of family medicine, and providing opportunities in mentorship, community service, advocacy, and research for students interested in primary care. We can also connect you to student scholarships to attend the national AAFP conference in Kansas City and the regional Family Medicine Education Conference that takes place every fall.

We encourage all students who are interested in primary care to become a Student Member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). It’s free, and will give you access to many resources to explore Family Medicine, as well as regional leadership opportunities. Register here!
