Education: B.A. in Biology, University of Chicago
Policy Experience & Interests: In college, Jonathan worked as a patient advocate for Health Leads, connecting low-income patients on Chicago’s South Side to resources that improved their social determinants of health. From this experience, he witnessed the important role that policy played in helping patients who, at times, could not help themselves. He also spent two years as a management consultant with A.T. Kearney, helping Fortune 500 companies reduce costs on the scale of tens of millions of dollars, and he hopes to apply his business experience to health policy. Drawing from these experiences, Jonathan is interested in healthcare economics and reform as well as health disparities. In addition, Jonathan seeks to make health policy a more significant part of medical education.
