Education: B.A. in Neuroscience, Bowdoin College
Policy Experience & Interests: Jordan’s first experience with health policy was in 2012 and more on the institutional level, collaborating with the Clinton Global Initiatives University and the American Civil Liberties Union to have Maine hospitals and healthcare facilities to adopt more LGBTQ-inclusive language in their patient’s bills of rights and non-discrimination policies. After he graduated from college in 2013, Jordan went on to work at Massachusetts General Hospital where he conducted HIV cost-effectiveness research that informed the World Health Organization guidelines on testing, treatment and prevention of pediatric HIV infections in resource-limited settings. He would like to continue this work in the area of domestic and international health guideline decisions throughout his medical career, if possible. Jordan is also very interested in healthcare management, which is the focus of the MPH he is currently pursuing at Sinai.
