Policy Experience & Interests: Nikhil developed an interest in ethical issues underlying public health as a philosophy major. He seeks to understand the principles that guide healthcare policy locally and globally with the goal of evaluating current and future health policy issues. In particular, Nikhil is interested in studying the major cost considerations involved in sustaining a healthcare system and the policy options available to lower those costs. Nikhil’s first experience in healthcare policy was as an intern in the Science and Technology Policy department at the Baker Institute for Public Policy, where he worked on policy related to the vaccine for the human papilloma virus.
