MedDOCs also offers a summer internship program for MedDOCs alumni, called MedDOCs+. Students who have successfully completed the MedDOCs program are invited to apply to volunteer at the Mount Sinai Hospital in various departments. Students are selected for MedDOCs+ from a separate, competitive application process. Applications for the 2022 MedDOCs+ program are closed at this time, and the 2023 application will be released in April – May 2022.

Traditionally, all MedDOCs programming has been held at the Mount Sinai Hospital. To comply with hospital and school policies ensuring the safety of our students and mentors, MedDOCs was conducted virtually via Zoom starting with the Neurology session of Spring 2020. The Fall 2023 Cardiology session will also be held virtually via Zoom.

HERE is the application for the Fall 2022-Spring 2023 after school program. All high school students (rising 9th-12th graders) are eligible to apply. 

The fall Cardiology session will run Thursdays 4:00-5:30pm between September – November (tentative dates are set for 9/29/2022 – 11/17/2022, with exact dates to be finalized). The winter Pulmonology session typically runs on Thursdays between January-March, and the spring Neurology session on Thursdays between April-May.

Also, please note that MedDOCs has become a competitive program and for the 2022-2023 cycle, we will only accept applications in the Fall. Any spots that open up for our Pulmonology and Neurology Sessions will be offered to those on the waitlist from Cardiology.
