The PEC was established in 2007 with 5 members, to complement institutional resources available to postdocs. Today, we have more than 30 active members from 15 ISMMS departments or institutes. Our leadership group includes two elected Executive Co-chairs, a pair of appointed Working Group Directors for each of the main Working Groups (Professional Development, Advocacy, Community), 10 volunteer subcommittee leaders, and several liaisons and postdoc representatives. Overall, postdocs at the PEC have contributed over 1400 person-hours per year towards serving the community of more than 600 postdocs.
